Press Release Body = Over £1 million worth of land was reserved from a number of UK Land Investments' sites by visitors to this year's Asian Lifestyle Expo held at Kensington Olympia in London. The three day event was hailed as a resounding success by UK Land Investments' management team.
"We earmarked the Asian Lifestyle Expo as one of our major marketing initiatives and decided to invest a considerable amount of money and resources to ensure that through this expo we could become a major presence in the UK's Asian market." Said Nigel Walter, Group Managing Director.
All visitors, on entering the exhibition space had to pass through the UK Land Investments 'gates' - two seven metre banners offering the chance to win tickets to the England - Pakistan cricket test. Here they were handed branded carrier bags, pre-filled with brochures. The Main stand, covering 500 square metres over two levels - and with a total of 30 plasma screens - dominated the whole Expo space. Visitors had to pass through the stand to get to the main stage. 30 members of UK Land Investments team were on hand to engage with prospective clients.
Gavin O'Hara, Sales Director said, "No one entering the expo could fail to notice the UK Land Investments stand. It dominated the whole space and with all our other branded material in evidence, we were all kept very busy by both serious investors and the simply curious."
The Asian community has proven to be one of UK Land Investments' most eager adopters and the company intends to foster further growth in this market. As Nigel Walter said, "Our objective was to not only sell plots but to build brand awareness. UK Land Investment's roots are from the Asian market and not surprisingly the Asian community have become our largest client group."
Nigel Walter was also keen to use the expo to demonstrate that UK Land Investments is a large-scale, long-term business that invests heavily in its brand. "We wanted to make a statement about our size as a business. Thanks to a few fly-by-night operations, there is some scepticism in the market about land banking. By showing the public the size and sophistication of our organisation - manifested through the size and sophistication of our stand, we could demonstrate that we're no back street operation. We have invested an enormous amount of money and effort into building a strong, reliable brand - and we'll continue to do so in the future."
"The Asian Lifestyle Show was exhausting but worth it." Said Zena Miscony, a leading member of the UK Land Investments' sales team. "We were on our feet all day, talking ourselves hoarse, but it paid off; we got loads of leads and made a lot of friends!
"Sudhir Kundhi, UK Land Investments' Director of Sales was delighted with the outcome of the expo. "I always feel a bit nervous when we attend these exhibitions. Sometimes, the market is not that receptive to the concept of land banking. This was different. We have harvested a really good crop of sales leads - and as a bonus we sold £1 million worth of plots. We've also further cemented our presence in the UK's Asian market.
UK Land Investments plans to be a major presence at other carefully selected exhibitions in the coming months. Nigel Walter states, "As the market leaders, we are forever mindful of the need to build and maintain brand awareness. We want to demonstrate unequivocally that we are the major brand in strategic land banking. We want our clients and prospective clients to see that they are dealing with a company that has solid foundations and the reach and resources to provide them with the best opportunities"
